Intacture: Data Center Flooring

Intacture is the first data center to be built inside an active mine 40 km north of Trento. The project stems from a public-private partnership with the ambitious goal of creating not only a state-of-the-art digital infrastructure that is integrated into the local area and has a reduced environmental footprint, but also of developing an innovation hub where research and development go hand in hand.

The new data center is taking shape withinthe TERA mining ecosystem, in a unique setting that combines technological innovation with the sustainable use of underground resources. Eighty percent of the project is located underground, leveraging the natural characteristics of the subterranean environment to ensure efficiency, safety, and sustainability. The remaining 20% above ground houses offices, meeting rooms, and multipurpose spaces dedicated to operational and management activities.

For the flooring of the above-ground areas, a tile installation system was used in which the tiles were fixed with T FIX HP, a highly workable C2TE-classified cementitious adhesive based on hydraulic binders and dolomitic mineral aggregates.

T FIX HP is suitable for installing terracotta, ceramic, clinker, porcelain, and stone tiles on walls or floors, both indoors and outdoors.
