In the heart of Calabria, nestled between the rocks and the sea, lies Gerace, a village that seems suspended in time, one of the most fascinating in Italy. Among medieval alleys and breathtaking views stands the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, a masterpiece of Byzantine-Norman architecture dating back to around 1100. With its 1690 m², it is one of the largest churches in Calabria.
