Natural finishes for the exterior of a mountain farmhouse

For the expansion of the Renetta farmhouse in Trentino, the exterior finishing project was designed to blend in with the landscape and the local materials.

Alongside the structural solutions of Armis line, a rustic effect was chosen for the high-quality finish with CALCE DILAVATO 011, a mineral finish made with local raw materials: natural hydraulic lime and dolomite, combined with river sand. A composition that enhances the short supply chain and restores an authentic aesthetic, consistent with the alpine context.

CALCE DILAVATO available in 16 colors (CC 001-CC 016) and is suitable for application on any plaster, Skim plaster mineral substrate based on hydraulic binders, provided it is smooth and uniform, indoors or outdoors; it can be used to create finishes on vertical walls and/or ceilings.

Surface treatment allows for different and refined aesthetic effects to be achieved, modulating texture and depth according to the application technique.

After applying the T PRIMER consolidant, the substrate was smoothed with T A01, formulated with 100% natural hydraulic lime 5, ensuring compatibility, breathability, and durability over time. To complete the cycle, Lithos Plus Breathable protective coating was applied, which protects the surface while maintaining its material characteristics unchanged.

The Washed-out effect system Washed-out effect only meets aesthetic requirements, but also represents a conscious technical choice. The use of NHL 5 natural hydraulic lime guarantees high breathability and compatibility with wall substrates in both outdoor and indoor environments. The mineral component, combined with the final protection, creates a surface that is resistant to atmospheric agents and capable of evolving over time without losing its material identity. A solution that combines performance, authenticity, and respect for the building context.
